Here is a delicious narrated animated story about a little smelly sprout. With gorgeous illustration this is a great little book which my kid reads over and over again, laughing loose at every time. What makes a great book great is hard to tell, but this one certainly has got it!

The Birthday is interactive book that mixes story reading and some learning challenges such as number recognition, following patterns and counting. Although priced a little higher than other similar apps, it is still an interesting choice for app.

Here is another book app for your digital bookshelf. What a Pest has beautiful illustrations and a more clean interface. Although a little bit pricey compared to similar apps, still worth considering the buy.

Here is another line of story books for the iPhone my son and I just love: narrated, interactive books. Call it the digital version of the pop-ups as every scene has surprises hidden upon touching different parts of the scenario. This one has a more ‘naive’ illustration style and great music.
