Why we think it is great?
Here at Apps4Kids we are certainly more keen to reviewing educational apps. But when it comes to 5 year-olds, it becomes harder and harder to stay away from games. In that category, Turtle World is surely a great choice. It has a great storyline designed around a turtle running from cats, dogs and crows. It’s fun to play (addictive, really) and extremely well produced.

Why we think it is great?
This is one of my son’s favorite board game in the ‘atom’ world. He was delighted to find out it could be played also on the iPad either by himself, or with up to 4 friends altogether. The app is a top-notch production, with every little detail well thought-through and executed. Surely a great acquisition!

Why we like it?
It’s basically a board game brought to the iPad. And that’s very rare. It is set out to be played by two or three kids at a time which is a good change for the usually lonesome experience of playing on these devices. Very simple to play with, ideal for toddlers.

Millie is lovely, the book is great, the interactions are awesome, the production is just terrific, and it is full of interactivity, videos and games. Plus this one is for free (at the time of this review). A no-brainer, just go ahead and get it!

Why we think it is great:
Here is a great memory cards game, with unique and beautiful illustrations, sound effects and music. This ensemble alone would already make the app great, but on top of it the app comes with a tool that allows creating over 400 billion unique cards that can be placed back on the memory game and played with. Doubtless a terrific memory card game for less then a dolar!

Why we think it is a great app:
This is a beautiful and extremely well done memory game. Aside from the great handmade illustrations that are the base for the memory cards, it comes integrated with GameCenter, allowing you to pursue high scores, challenge yourself and others. And at the end, if you really like the drawings you can even order a full sized original acrylic painting on canvas!
