“Safe Web is a new web browser for iPhone and iPad devices. Don’t worry anymore about what they browse as they only will see what you let them see. Safe Web is a bookmarking based Internet browser that only allows to navigate to some predefined websites or domains of your selection. Apart from that, Safe Web creates a sandbox environment where the user can’t leave the allowed websites domains. For example: you can allow google.com but they can’t navigate to a search result that is not in the allowed list.”
Why we think it is great:
As our little ones grow up, it gets harder to control what they see on the internet. Of course you can always turn off the WiFi or 3G and leave the device offline, but with this app there is the choice to can block Safari and leave Safe Web as the only browser with specific sites whitelisted. Beware of allowing Google. Even though kids won’t be able to get to linked sites, they can still see the images in results.
