“‘Animal Colours’ is a collection of flashcards apps, aimed at babies and toddlers. A series of interactive screens succeeds each other, with a picture of an animal, a voice that speaks its name, and simple animations and sounds every time the screen is touched.
The choice of animals in this app series is wacky and fun; not just the cat and the rat, but the blue-footed booby and the duck-billed platypus.
The ”Animal Colours” will have 10 colours. Right now we have 3 ready: Blue, Yellow and Black&White are available for iPhone on the App Store. It will soon be available for iPad too.”
Why we think this app is great?
Organizing the series of animals flashcards by color seemed to us like a different approach to the sometimes crowded ‘animal flashcards’ apps category. As you separate by color, specific animals names need to be included (dalmatian, black grouse, etc). Also, the apps is really well put together and it is available in Spanish, English and German.

Excellent educational iPhone app for kids. It should be noted that Flash Cards are highly effective way to educate kids. They can be perfectly used to learn the names of animals as well.
