Why we like this app?
Certainly among the most interesting apps for kids are the ebook apps, be the simple ones or the more interactive. And within these books a specific niche category has been developing strong: the digital popup books for kids. They are books the resemble the paper pop-up books enriched with motion and sound. Usually beautifully illustrated and developed with extreme care.

‘Three Little Pigs and the Secrets of a Popup Book’ as the tittle reveals, is in this category and is a gorgeous book. It combines classic-style illustrations with paper popup like interactivity and motion with a very interesting ‘x-ray goggles’ mode where you can actually ‘see through’ the pages and understand how the popup is ‘working’.

When choosing apps for my kid I really worry about giving him a really well done product where every detail has been carefully produced: content, visuals, sound, interactivity. This app is certainly in that category, you can tell by the trailer video they have put together (see bellow)!

  2. My son loves these pop up books. One of the things I love about the iPad is that my son engages with books and reading in a new, fun way. Thanks! Karen
