My first impressions on the iPad

My 4 yo has just started playing with the iPad. I showed him the device and of course he immediately said ‘Wow, a HUGE iPhone!’. That’s exactly what the iPad is: a HUGE iPhone (or iPod Touch). But being a big iPhone is a HUGE deal.
Everything looks better, brighter and more interesting on the iPad. Photos look great, Web looks great, videos look awesome. The same apps he used to play on the iPhone are a total new discovery. It seems like they have been until now trapped in a small screen and now finally released to their original and natural size.
The only games that aren’t great when played on the iPad are the ones that require movement. Of course the device has the sensor, but then it isn’t small enough for a nice play.
If you’re still not sure if you will eventually buy an iPad let me help you with the decision: YES, you will. If not for you, certainly for your kids. We still cannot fully grasp how revolutionary a device like this will be in the process of kids’ education, but the potential here is just infinite are we are on the beginning of this new era of content and education. What exciting times we are living on!
